M. R. Govt. College, Fazilka has covered a journey of more than six decades and has served the cause of education in this border town. The college has gone through many ups and downs. To meet the ever increasing financial demands of the college, the college was handed over to the Punjab Govt. by the Munshi Ram Trust in 1983. A new hope was infused among the students and the public. In the beginning, it was an Arts College. Science Faculty was introduced later. This session new subject BCA was introduced and in the coming year other streams like PGDCA, Computer Science and some short term courses shall be introduced. This college is the only and first college to have Edu. Sat lectures to keep the student abreast of latest knowledge and new challenges. The college had been providing subsidized and quality education to the less privileged strata of society and is committed to the same in future also.
