M. R. Govt. College is a premier co-educational institution, being run by Punjab Govt. It is carrying out the goals objectives determined by the Government in state education policy from time to time. The main objectives of:-

c)         Upliftment of rural and backward people.

d)         Preparing the students of this area to get opportunities for better life.

            The college works within the framework and curriculum designed by Punjab University, Chandigarh. To supplement studies, the students are exposed to lectures by educationists, quiz tests and seminars. The subject engages the students in academic and cultural activities.
